Dimitri Payet enjoyed a memorable but brief spell at West Ham United between 2015 and 2017, quickly becoming a fan favourite thanks to his extraordinary skill, creativity, and flair. Signed from Marseille in the summer of 2015, Payet lit up the Premier League with stunning free kicks, dazzling dribbles, and match-winning performances, earning a place in the PFA Team of the Year and a nomination for the PFA Player of the Year in his debut season. His form helped West Ham finish seventh in the 2015–16 campaign and made their final season at Upton Park particularly special. However, his time in East London ended controversially when he forced a move back to Marseille in January 2017, leaving behind a legacy of brilliance tinged with disappointment.
