The 2014–15 season was a turbulent one for Newcastle United, marked by inconsistency and off-field unrest. The campaign began under manager Alan Pardew, but after a poor start and fan dissatisfaction, Pardew left mid-season to join Crystal Palace. John Carver took over as interim manager, but results worsened, culminating in a desperate relegation battle. Despite a dismal run of eight consecutive defeats in the spring, the club narrowly avoided relegation, finishing 15th in the Premier League with 39 points. The season exposed deep issues within the squad and club hierarchy, leaving fans frustrated and calling for significant change.
